PS2 online was very rudimentry as far as I'm aware. I've never really had problems on XBox Live and its partly built around its online content.

I only played Ps2 online for the one smackdown vs raw game. I remember it was a pain to hook the PS2 so I could do it. And I admit that it totally sucked. But the 360 is leaps and bounds better then the PS2. I play Gears of War 2 multiplayer and its seamless, no lag whatsoever. Also fun having the headset on and talking smack to your opponent.
But Nick if you aren't sold on the beauty of online gaming, I suggest you get hold of one of those 48 hour gold passes for the 360 and give it a try. You won't be sorry that you did.

it sounds like 360 is way better then ps2, but i just dont care to pay others online, pay or free. i just play the game. if i played more, then i would definitely be interested. since the beginning of the summer, minus a week while i was off i played the new need for speed game, i have probably played a game 20-25 times. i'm guessing, but it should be close. at one point, i didnt play a game for like a month or so.
but like i said, i'll upload my guy when i get the game.

Been playing it the last few days, best one in the series for a while, but there's the little things that bug me. The game's online is let down by the people you play, too many guys on there who exploit certain moves or strategies to get cheap wins, but Gold is worth it at least for other games. There's a game called Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged. Its usually very cheap, comes with six decent-if-unspectacular games, but also a month of gold. That's what I'd recommend for a trial.
I'll probably put the DA CAW I made up once he's got a few more stat points and I can stop him looking like a smurf dressed up as a backyard wrestler. Which may be hard.

There was the same problem in the online mode last year, which is why I decided that for online that I'm only going to play with people I know and have on my friends list. I'll put Blade up at some point as well

I swore off of playing Smackdown games online, because back in the PS2 days, everybody had hacked movesets... or they used that faggy gut headbutt or elbow to the back of the head move over and over and over. So after awhile, I just used the online feature to trade CAWs. I tried playing last years online and ran into those little bitches who used that created move that puts you in red damage instantly and called it quits again.
Anyhoo, my Reaper character just hit an overall of 97 earlier and has 4 outfits (Black outfit with green and white logos, Green outfit with black and white logos, Soul Assassin outfit with logo...roughly, and my new team Death Sentence). I suppose I should also put in the two moves I made... meh if its needed I will.

I'm still running Blade through career, only have some basic ring gear and a street clothing set for my attires but will likely be changing the character model significantly when I'm done with that. Created a couple of finishers but will probably tweak or change them before I put it up on the database.

Smackdown vs Raw might have to wait till Christmas. There are too many games coming out that I want to play.
Forza 3 Assassions Creed 2 Modern Warfare 2 Uncharted 2: Among theives (ps3)
Plus right now I am playing Brutal Legend. Fun little game. Found myself laughing thru the game. Jack Black makes a good Eddie. Having a blast driving around in my hot rod blasting Heavy Metal.

My plans to get SD vs Raw next week, and then trade it in when Assasins Creed 2 comes out. Just not sure SDvR10 is worth buying fully. I thought 09 was good, and would be worth it but it was just a meh game. I'm half expecting the same for this one.

The more I play Smackdown Vs Raw, the more little things annoy me. Doesn't help the AI is either so easy its boring or has the ability to reverse every move you attempt. I'd say waiting for the price drop is the right move, especially if you have last year's, its very similar.
Brutal Legend for me was awesome until the RTS segments kicked in. Although my frustration at that game is more about the fact I'm missing one serpent statue, and that's all that's stopping me from getting 100%. Have Borderlands now though, the little I've got to play so far has been really enjoyable, takes the best elements of MMOs into a game that feels similar to Fallout 3.

I was impressed with SD 2010. I own it for my PS2 but I have played the PS3 version.
It seems to me that they are listening to the fans now and making it more CAW friendly.
The SD series is like my Madden. I'd buy it regardless of any reviews.
Right now I'm alternating between SD 2010, UMA 2, and good ol Manhunt.

If you haven't gone out and bought or rented Assassins Creed 2 yet, whats stopping you? I got it the day it came out and every chance I got, I was playing that game. Beat the game the other day and only got 9 acheivements to go. But am writting off getting two of them. It involves finding every last feather in the game. I just don't see that happening. But it is a highly fun game to play. Nothing like walking around 1400's Italy assassinating people. The only annoying thing about the whole game is when those dang musicians come up and start playing.
Got Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition sitting by my xbox 360 waiting to be put in. I heard people say that once you get out of the vault, you should promptly go to the operation anchorage dlc. It somehow makes the main part of the game easier if you do that. Not sure but I beleive Ash is the resident expert on that game.
