Gary King: We've got a match, ladies and gentlemen! The cocky, talented young Max Venom takes on the powerful, arrogant veteran Dark Angel in a match dreamt up by Angel himself, the “Glass Ceiling” match.
Harold Gunther IV: And can I say that I'm so glad that Dark Angel got rid of those two FHT hacks and, at least for this match, reinstated Harold Gunther IV to where he rightfully belongs! Behind the commentary desk, delivering witty retorts and the odd snide comment!Despite the bell ringing, neither man has moved an inch. Angel and Venom are instead staring daggers at each other across the ring and this confuses the referee, who actually signals for the bell to be rung again, believing neither man heard it. Again, neither man moves and just continue to wait. Harold Gunther IV: Its a shame my first match back in so long is gonna be so short! Max Venom isn't on the same level as Dark Angel, he's not even close!
Gary King: We've never truly seen Max Venom tested, we know the kid is good, but we don't know exactly how good. Tonight, Venom either walks out the better man or doesn't walk out at all.The two men stare holes into each other, waiting for someone to make the first move. An “Angel Sucks” chant gets going, and suddenly Angel makes a grab for a kendo stick off to the side! He takes a swing at Venom, who ducks and rolls out of the way, and swerves to avoid the second hit. However, Angel fakes Venom out and the third time is the charm, cracking the stick in two over Max's head. Harold Gunther IV: The experience factor, right there! You can't run away in a cage, Venom!Angel discards the broken stick and proceeds to stomping on Venom's left arm. He then effortlessly pulls him up and sends him barrelling into the cage, head first! Venom comes staggering away and Angel whips him right back into another side of the cage. Again, Venom comes back and Angel tosses him into a third side... But this time, Venom leaps up onto the cage itself and then launches himself onto Dark Angel with a cross-body, knocking the big man down. Gary King: And there's the youth of Max Venom coming into play! Angel went to the well once too often and Venom managed a great counter!Venom now pulls down a steel chair, smashing it against the mat and then bringing it up, scouting out Angel. Angel gets up and his head meets the steel chair with a sickening thud. Angel tries to force himself up again, but this time Venom just throws the chair directly at Angel's head. Angel hits the mat and Venom searches the walls for more weapons to pull down, finally deciding on a stop sign. Angel is rising up slowly, and Venom slides across the ring, smashing the sign right up in Angel's face. A sharp kick to the stomach of Angel and Venom comes off the rope only to meet a strong clothesline, sending Venom backflipping to the canvas. Harold Gunther IV: That might've knocked some sense into that diseased brain of Max Venom. He'll think twice before running his mouth now he knows what its like to have it smacked off his face!Angel now drags Venom over to the cage itself, and hooks his right leg into the cage, in a modified version of the tree of woe. He pulls down a second kendo stick and starts going wild with his hits, some against the leg of Venom and some shots directly at his ribs! Angel levels a kick right in the face of Max Venom and takes a moment to breathe in the atmosphere as the fans start booing with a new-found passion. Venom slips out of the tree of woe and rolls underneath the ropes. Angel tries to reach down to pull Venom up, but Max snaps Angel's arm off the ropes and rolls back to his feet, although now standing outside the ring itself. Angel slowly comes around and Venom launches himself over the rope onto Angel... But Angel catches him and slams him into the cage! Gary King: A nasty blow by Dark Angel right there! Using the cage itself as a weapon!
Harold Gunther IV: Angel's got too much skill and experience to let Venom build any momentum. This is his creation and he knows how to use it. I bet he's dreamt about it all week.Angel pulls down a bag attached to the chain circling the cage, holding it aloft to heavy boos. He pours it over the canvas, thumbtacks spilling everywhere, and slowly a delighted grin forms on the face of Dark Angel as he lifts Max Venom up in the gorilla press slam position... But Venom slips out the back, and when Angel turns around, he meets a picture-perfect dropkick, leaving him staggering just above the tacks. Venom throws a right at Angel, and he's staggering more, but catches his balance and hits a swift uppercut, before going for the throat of Venom, setting up for the Unearthly Destroyer... He lifts him up... And slams nothing down! Venom has grabbed hold of the chain attached to the cage, and comes off it with a hurricarana, taking Angel down to the mat. Harold Gunther IV: Venom's just trying to stay alive right now, proof positive he isn't a real match for Angel.
Gary King: Actually, I'd say he's sticking to a smart game-plan and using his speed to hit Angel quickly and get out of there before he gets a chance to hit anything big.Venom turns towards the north wall, and starts to pull down a wooden table attached to the chain and set it up in the corner. Angel starts to rise up, but Venom drives the table's edge into Angel's skull, before securing it in the corner. Max turns back towards Angel, but is met by the spray from a fire extinguisher directed right at his eyes, and as he staggers around blinded, Angel smashes the bottom into Venom's head, knocking him down. Angel eyes up both the tacks and the table in the corner, but heads to another wall to pull down a small glass pane, a smaller version of the one above the ring right now. He stalks Max with it as he slowly gets to his feet, but misses with the lunge, dropping it, where it hits the mat and stays intact. Venom starts unloading rights and lefts, followed by some kicks to the side. Angel grabs one leg and performs a dragon screw, sending Venom back down. Gary King: Its back-and-forth constantly. And the dangers in this match keep piling up as they keep dodging each other like this.
Harold Gunther IV: Just gonna make it more painful for Venom when he suffers through them all, one by one.Angel pulls a lead pipe down from the chain and pulls it over the throat of Max, as a “Venom” chant starts up. Dark Angel continues to apply pressure, trying to choke Venom out with the pipe, as Max pushes it slowly further and further away. Angel leans in to try and apply more force, and Venom kicks him in the head. Angel staggers back and takes a blow to the head from the lead pipe. There's a brief pause as Venom gets his breath back and takes up a new weapon: light tubes. Venom smashes it with a sickening crack over the back of Angel, covering him in white plaster. Max Venom now pulls down a baseball bat and starts taking targeted shots at Angel's knees, before Angel seizes the bat with tremendous strength and almost sends Venom flying with one hand. The two men start trading fists again, with Angel getting the better of it. Gary King: Channel 4 requires us to take a commercial right now, but don't go anywhere! More of Dark Angel and Max Venom after the commercial break!

Gary King: Welcome back to Monday Night Legacy! We're back with the Dark Angel/Max Venom Glass Ceiling Cage match and during the commercial, Angel started to dominate over Venom!-REPLAY- Venom gets sent flying into the cage side and bounces off. Angel drags him over to the ropes, threading him just above the second rope and using the third one to stretch Venom back. Angel then starts smashing the face of Venom against the cage itself, and rubbing it closely against the metal. A quick cut shows him hitting a big boot and smashing Max against the turnbuckle. -REPLAY- Harold Gunther IV: Its impressive stuff and the best part is, Max Venom seems to be cut open! ...Yep, he's definitely bleeding!Venom is crawling across the mat as Angel looks through the last remaining weapons, picking up a trash can, leaving only two mysterious bags left hanging up there. Venom is on his knees, and Angel slams the trash can down onto his head with a sickening thud, causing it to bend and shape around Venom's head. Blood is slowly trickling down from Max's forehead from his earlier encounter with the cage. Angel grabs the table from the corner and sends it up standing, before going towards one of the bags left hanging and pulling out a small object and a gas can. Gary King: Surely not?! Angel has that evil, sick look in his eyes!
Harold Gunther IV: Finish him, Angel! Set the bastard ablaze!Angel liberally pours the gas all over the table and with a loud roar from the match connecting, the table ignites! Dark Angel grabs Venom by the back of the neck, setting up for a suplex. Venom starts to fight back with punches straight to the ribs of Angel, and a knee to the groin. Angel doubles over and Venom picks him up onto his shoulders. The fans get on their feet as Venom slowly manoeuvres himself into position... He signals for it... LETHAL INJECTION RIGHT THROUGH THE BURNING TABLE! Harold Gunther IV: No! Angel! That's not right! Venom used a low-blow to get Angel into that position!
Gary King: Angel went right through that burning table courtesy of Max Venom's inverted Death Valley Driver, the Lethal Injection! Although both men took a beating from that exchange! As the crowd start the first “Holy Shit!” chant of the match, the ring fills with the result of several fire extinguishers as road agents and fire officials alike spray it inwards to put the fire out. After a few moments, the smog clears and we can see both Venom and Angel lying face down in the ring. After a few moments, the bloodied face of Max Venom starts to rise... and he's grinning. He starts to crawl to the glass pane left in the middle of the ring, grasping in his hand and rising to face Angel, who is slowly coming to his senses. He swings but Angel manages to duck the shot, and grabs Venom for a legsweep... Which sends the pane flying back straight into the face of Venom! Harold Gunther IV: Not such a pretty boy are we now, Max Venom? Enjoy that little taste of glass, you're gonna get a lot more soon enough.
Gary King: Its amazing they're still going after that burning table move, but this match doesn't end until someone is thrown through the glass ceiling at the top of the cage, which neither man has gotten even close to achieving yet!Angel grasps onto the chain surrounding the ring, using it to pull himself up properly to his feet. He eyes the solitary bag left hanging on the chain, ripping it apart, so a pair of wire-cutters falls down to the ground. He picks them up, curiously, and turns towards Venom, slowly getting up after taking the glass pane shot. He desposits the wirecutters in a corner, and lifts Venom up in a brainbuster position, holding him in the air and causing blood to slowly drip down from Venom's head onto the canvas below. Angel goes to slam him down, but Venom catches Angel's head and hits a jawbreaker to counter. Venom now eyes the wire-cutters, and looks up to the roof where the glass ceiling lurks above. He starts to snip through some of the cage on the south side of the ring, yanking a piece of the cage out. Harold Gunther IV: Hasn't Max Venom got the slightest bit of respect for Angel's creation here? There's now a small hole in that side of the cage!Venom brings the small cage piece over the face of Angel, and sticks his boot in the back of Angel's head, applying pressure, and slowly rubbing the chain-links back and forth across Angel's face, before knocking him down with a modified curb stomp. As Venom scouts around for his next attack, Angel sits up, bleeding from the head! Venom turns around to meet Angel, but finds a hand clasped around his throat... Angel lifts Venom up and slams him down for the Unearthly Destroyer right onto the tacks set out earlier in the match! Venom rolls over them in agony as Angel's burst of adrenaline there fades and he leans against the ropes for support. Gary King: In any normal match, that'd be it and then some, but in this Glass Ceiling match, that's just a small part of winning.
Harold Gunther IV: Its an interesting game of strategy. You can only win by sending your opponent through the Glass Ceiling, but you've obviously both got to get up there. You can't afford to totally disable your opponent unless you feel you could carry him up yourself!Angel surveys the damage Venom has done to his cage with anger, but then grabs the wire cutters and starts to cut from the hole across, creating a line of sharp chain-link edges pointed towards the ring. Angel grabs Venom and traps his arm in this, and starts to kick the side, pushing the edges into Venom's arm. He then yanks him out, tearing across the skin of Max, and tosses him upwards, onto the chain that had held all the weapons used during the match, and applying pressure, choking him with it. Venom thrashes about, kicking the cage and Angel in the process of trying to get loose. Harold Gunther IV: There's using the cage as a weapon, and there's Dark Angel using the cage quite literally as a weapon. He's the most creative mind in FHT/ELITE for a reason.
Gary King: This could be it for Max Venom. If Angel chokes him out here and carries him up to the top, he's done for.Venom manages to get out, but gets his leg trapped in the opening both he and Angel created with the wire-cutters. Angel steps back as Venom struggles to get free, and then charges with full force at Venom, who just about manages to roll free. Angel smashes against the side of the cage, which starts to strain and Venom gets into the ring, eyeing Angel trying to recover... And charges at him, shoulder-first! He connects with Angel, and the cage struggles a bit more valiantly but VENOM GOES RIGHT THROUGH THE CAGE WITH ANGEL AND INTO THE BARRIER OUTSIDE! Gary King: No way! No way!
Harold Gunther IV: Both Venom and Angel burst right through that damaged cage side and smack into that barrier! Hell, it looks like they buckled the barrier too, we might need more security down there. The “Holy Shit!” chant gets renewed here, as the fans paying for ringside seats start pointing right down at the prone bodies of Angel and Venom lying just beneath them in the wreckage that was once the barrier, before arena security manages to get them all to back off. The cage itself is still standing and looking fairly firm, but has a large tear in the south side from the spear, and Harry Hebner gingerly steps through it to follow the match. Gary King: We've got to take one last commercial break, but when we return, more of this amazing, brutal match! We'll be right back!

Gary King: We're back on Legacy, with no more commercial interruptions, with the Glass Ceiling Cage match, which has already been incredibly violent. We've seen Venom and Angel go through hell inside that cage, and they've now just got out.
Harold Gunther IV: It was an amazing high-risk move. Venom speared Angel right through the side of the cage, and its taken the whole commercial break for them to get back to their feet.Venom is supporting himself on one of the barriers inside with the crowd who are all patting him on the back, as Angel lies his bleeding head on a steel chair. Venom tries to stomp down on Angel's head, but Angel moves, and Venom's foot goes crashing through the chair. Angel throws a cup of beer from a fan at Venom and starts throwing some rights at Venom, who ducks one, grabs the chair from around his leg and throws it at Angel's head. Angel staggers back into some fans, some of who run off and some who stick around to give him the finger. Harold Gunther IV: Venom might have control of the match right now, but he's taking Angel further and further away from the objective of this match! He's just here to get his ego stroked by the fans!Venom pounces on Angel, and throws more rights and lefts at the face of Angel, who blocks with his arms, and then starts to hit back. Angel shoves Venom off him, sending Venom flying back, and Angel is quick to follow, grabbing Venom by the head and throwing him towards the cage again. He then whips Venom into the steel stairs, which he goes crashing over, clutching his knee. Angel lifts up the dislodged stairs, and crashes them down onto Venom's leg. Gary King: Max's inexperience in these sorts of matches might have cost him here, he showed some weakness in his knee and Angel's smart enough to capitalize on that.
Harold Gunther IV: Venom's done pretty well for himself so far, but that's the sort of rookie mistake that separates him from guys like Angel.Angel drops the stairs and throws Venom towards the announcer's table, sending both Gary King and Harold Gunther IV leaping over the barricade in panic. Angel swipes his hand across the desk to remove papers and knocking the monitors and laptops off, as he grabs Venom across the throat, dragging him towards the table. Venom battles back with elbows and manages to snap-suplex Angel onto the table... Which doesn't break! Angel clutches his back in pain, as Venom steps onto the barricade nearby, grimacing in pain from his knee. He steadies himself, before splashing down on Angel, crashing him through the table! Harold Gunther IV: Great, so I finally get behind the announcer's table and it gets destroyed. Thanks for that, Venom.
Gary King: Angel attempted to repeat his attack on Venom months ago, but Venom managed to counter it and get even! God, what a match...Venom is barely able to crawl away following the splash, as the fans start a “Venom” chant. He slowly reaches the ring and the cage surrounding it, and uses it to pull himself back to his feet. It takes Angel a full minute before he's even stirring again, and nearly another to get back on his feet, pulling up on Harold Gunther to get to his feet. Venom starts hitting sharp, quick kicks on Angel's ribs, but Angel shoves Venom into the side of the cage. Angel then grabs Venom by the hair, and starts to slowly climb the cage, pulling Venom along by the hair, and forcing him to climb alongside. Gary King: This could be it! Both men are slowly ascending the cage, the end to this match could be close now!
Harold Gunther IV: And Angel is the one leading Venom to his slaughter, just as I said! Both men have gone through hell, but Angel's gonna end it!Venom throws the odd fist towards Angel's leg as he gets forced upwards. Angel has one hand on the top of the cage, as his leg slips out of the foothold due to Venom's punching, and his grip on Venom's hair slips away. Venom gets a firm grip on the cage and comes up right behind Angel, setting up for a back suplex! Angel punches Venom in the head with his one free hand, dangling dangerously above the edge, and Venom's right side becomes unhooked, and he swings out, just about staying on the cage itself. Angel takes the chance to get his other hand on the top of the cage, and pulls himself up as Venom just about recovers on the side of the cage. Harold Gunther IV: Both men there nearly ended up falling all the way down the side! That would've been it for sure, no way you can do that and just get back up, especially after the match they've both been involved in.Angel crawls over towards the edge of the glass pane in the ceiling, looking down below at the ring, filled with objects from the earlier brawl. Venom slowly makes his way up, looking uncomfortable at the height he is at. Both men stare at each other once more, their faces covered in blood and their clothes containing relics of their earlier fights below, thumbtacks, pieces of wire, wood, burns and glass. And right above the glass ceiling itself, both men once again trade blows. Gary King: This match has been so insane, but for it to end, we need one more insane moment. Dark Angel and Max Venom, one of those men are going through that Glass Ceiling.
Harold Gunther IV: Come on, Angel! Beat him for Lbm and the other veterans!Angel throws a strong right, Venom replies with a couple of quick lefts, Angel hits an uppercut, Venom aims a few kicks at Angel's leg, but his weakened leg gives way, and he hits the cage, just short of the glass pane itself. Angel walks around to Venom and grabs him by the throat as the fans watch on in shock and awe. Angel lifts Venom up into the air, signalling for the Unearthly Destroyer through the pain but Venom reverses, and lifts Angel up onto his shoulders for the Lethal Injection! Angel pushes away and both men land on the opposite sides of the roof. Harold Gunther IV: Its been so even up to this point, both men are struggling to find advantages. And this is where experience is a major factor, in the eleventh hour, when you've given it everything and you need to pull out one last trick to get the job done. Both men slowly approach each other again, wary. Suddenly, Venom puts on a burst of speed, attempting to spear Angel through the pane, but missing, narrowly avoiding putting himself through the glass. Angel grabs Venom under his arm, and tries to lift him up for a suplex, but is struggling due to his back. Venom punches Angel in the gut, and Angel staggers back, teetering on the edge of the pane... And Venom lands a strong kick right at the chest of Angel! Angel falls back... AND GOES TOPPLING RIGHT THROUGH THE GLASS AND DOWN INTO THE RING, WHICH CAVES IN AS ANGEL HITS IT! Harold Gunther IV: Oh shit! No!
Gary King: Good lord! That fall! My God!The fans cheer loudly as the bell rings and Venom sinks to his knees, bloody and exhausted. The “Holy Shit” chant goes around again, but is replaced by a loud, passionate “Venom” chant, having won over a lot of doubters in the crowd with his performance. Erik Knights: Here is your winner, “The Slow Poison” Max Venom! The fans applaud and some even bow as Venom slowly climbs back down the cage to have his hand raised by Harry Hebner, who looks as shocked as any audience member. Out from the back comes Ash Strife, Crusher Casey, Andre Roussimoff, Trey Spruance and Max's tag team partner, Ace Andrews, all clapping Max Venom, who receives his tag title championship from the referee. The young guys all surround Venom, heaping praise on him, but he walks off, emotionless, staring at the hole in the ring with Dark Angel in it. Gary King: Well, ladies and gentlemen, Max Venom stepped up tonight, and in a big way. And let's not ignore the efforts of Dark Angel, who turned the clock back and gave us a performance worthy of acclaim. Any other night Angel would've likely won, but Venom was truly amazing tonight.
v I'm reluctant to do this, but Venom put up on hell of a fight against an impressive Angel tonight. He certainly proved himself as a top contender in this promotion.Venom is slowly walking up the ramp, as medics race past him, holding stretchers and other medical supplies. The cage is raised up and they slowly surround the hole where Angel fell, pulling him out, a bloody and broken mess. He manages to weakly raise up one arm to show he's still conscious and the FHT/ELITE fans, despite their hatred of the man, give Angel a round of applause for his efforts tonight. Being careful, the medics slowly attach the stretcher to Angel and start to clear the ring of some larger debris as they prepare to cart Angel out. Gary King: What a match, what an edition of Monday Night Legacy! I'm Gary King, alongside my partner for this match, Harold Gunther IV, and we're wishing you-
Harold Gunther IV: Wait a second, Gary! What the hell are those young punks doing?!As Angel is being led out, Ash and Casey have suddenly struck, knocking the stretcher out of the hands of the medics. Trey and Andre start stomping on Angel, who is beaten and restrained as Ace starts shouting insults. Max Venom stands on the ramp watching, his expression unreadable underneath a coat of blood, and he just turns into the curtain and leaves. On Ace's direction, Ash and Casey lift the stretcher up, looking to swing it into the steel ringpost! Harold Gunther IV: What the hell is this? Angel just went through a brutal hardcore match and fell down through the Glass Ceiling! Venom has tainted his victory here tonight with this attack!
Gary King: Harold, look, Venom's left! I'm getting the feeling this isn't Venom's idea, but something the young guys have chosen to do!Suddenly the fans explode with cheers as the F'n Legend himself walks out of the curtain, wearing a neck brace and an expression that shows his anger towards the men attacking his friend, especially at Casey, who an hour ago attempted to end his career! Lbm comes down to the ring, throwing Trey out the way and stopping Casey and Ash's attempt at swinging Angel into the steel post. He manages this much, but the “newbie” locker-room members all surround Lbm, and he's quickly beaten down as well! Gary King: Come on, enough is enough! Both Dark Angel and Lbm ended their nights looking like they might well have been crippled! Lbm's bravery in helping his friend here has sadly let him become another target!
Harold Gunther IV: They're dogs, Gary. Feral, wild dogs just ripping apart the injured and weak! There's no point in this attack! Both Angel and Lbm are taking blow after blow from the angry five talents... And suddenly another figure appears on the entrance ramp, armed with a kendo stick... Keith Williams! The FHT/ELITE General Manager races down the ramp, swinging his kendo stick wildly, clocking Andre with it in the head and managing to get the five guys to back off. They consider their options, but security has followed Keith Williams down the ramp and the five guys decide to walk to the back. Gary King: An unlikely saviour for both Dark Angel and Lbm! Keith Williams possibly decided to save two guys who make the company he's in charge of some good money from months on the injured list!
Harold Gunther IV: Or Keith saw what those young guys were doing and was sickened by it, just like me. He knows that, like them or not, Dark Angel and Lbm will be valuable allies if the new guys are going to continue violent, cowardly assaults like this!Keith checks on both men quickly, before calling over the medics, who now start checking on the condition of both Lbm and Dark Angel. Keith stares over at Ash, Andre, Ace, Trey and Casey, who are celebrating on top of the ramp, with the only absence being Venom, having long returned to the back. Gary King: An amazingly brutal match marred by an amazingly brutal assault! The young guys are standing tall at the end of this edition of Monday Night Legacy, how will the veterans strike back?
Harold Gunther IV: Like a pack of rabid animals. Sickening.Legacy ends with the five men, hands covered in Angel's blood raising their hands in unison, in triumph, on the entrance ramp, with Ace and Ash holding up their respective belts as, above them on the big screen, Keith Williams stands above the injured bodies of Dark Angel and Lbm, thinking.
