^ Well do you think there might be a chance that a reboot of this place after the show could work? I guess it's a lot about luck with who stays and goes. Even for myself I dunno how long my interest will last.

I'll be honest, I don't see this site ever running full time again. Nobody is interested/have jobs and a one-off card would be nice. I just hope to get the match with Lbm since I already have three promos already written up.
Guys, were on a mission from Foley:

I'd love the place to restart, its hard to go back to RP-style after this place, but at the same time, after April I'm going to be very busy until probably the middle of summer. I imagine a lot of others will share the same kinda thoughts "Would love it, couldn't invest for certain".
There's a lot of great ideas in the air for making the place work smoother, but you need the activity from old and new members and that's the big worry. I get the impression the staff don't wanna do a lot of work and put in a lot of time only to see it fail after a month or something, and that's fair enough.

If we could just have everybody back a proper memories session maybe that would fuel it. Just some real chats about what used to happen and went on, with everybody who was there. I think a one off card might just do me after that, although I dont really want anything to do with my character. I'll sit and watch.

Perfect title for the card: FHT and ELTIE Present: It's Better Than Hard Justice.
Oh, and John is interested.

I'm actually in a match-writing based fed now, and loving it. Its not exactly the same as FHT/Elite, but its definitely similar, and its picking up a lot of interest lately.
And the problem with the RP efeds is there is so many people opening feds these days, and it just thins those of us who do efed out over a bunch of places, killing the interest slowly. That said there still some pretty bad ass RP feds out there.

This is a promising start already guys, keep spreading the word. Thanks Nick (I assume) for sending the email out as well, even if you're not certain about the idea.
Just to address a few things that have come up:
If we're getting near the deadline and we're close but not quite there, we might have a week delay to help set things up, but I think a tighter time limit of getting things set will help encourage people to be proactive and not wander off bored halfway through the build.
We really should've done a Lbm vs. The Roster Gauntlet match from the looks of this. I'll edit the matches and who's in and who they want to face at the top of my first post, but just a few observations:
- Max, if you really want to do the Fourway, you can, but I look at that and think "Hey, that could be two singles matches and get us closer to our goal". If everyone in that group agrees to it though for whatever reason, go ahead.
- I'll message Lbm on Facebook, since its becoming clear he'll have a hell of a choice to make and the sooner we have him here, the better.
- I'll put Ace Andrews vs. Max Venom (With the potential fourway side note) and Keith Williams vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin up as tentative matches.
- I think considering the controversy afterwards, Satan vs. Darkness King could be very interesting, but I'll leave that idea up to you. My plan is to slot in with someone still looking for a match, and there's alreadly some nice choices there.
About the discussion concerning a full-time return, for those who skim-read my loads o' words before, this is what I said:
I stand by the fact that we shouldn't be looking past this show and into a relaunch, but any discussion at this stage is good discussion, so my quick thoughts. To pull off a relaunch, you'd need about 14 old faces and 8 new faces, so when the efed law of half of them vanishing kicks in, you've still got a decent size roster to build off. You'd also need to establish new ideas to improve the flow of the card. That's overlooking other things, but there's a rough idea of what I think it would require.
I think the more likely answer is a group of guys who really want to start doing this style again banded together and formed their own place as a successor promotion. I had a similar idea before, but didn't have the interest, but if we have a group of people willing to do that AFTER this show, that can be explored.
I don't mind the discussion on the future, but let's try and stay focused on this show. Don't want to scare guys off looking for this one more show and finding us discussing a full return.

I was talking to John about this, and we came up with a good idea. If I can't get the match with Lbm, then me and him might do a third Satan/Punisher match. We're tied at one-a-piece and the feud might be old as hell, but it was the most fun me and him had writing matches and promos.
But the idea of everybody wanting to beat up Lbm is quite funny.

I think it’d be a little foolish to try and go for a whole show like we used to do, even when we were running smoothly that could be difficult enough. I think maybe once we get enough people to sign up and get a card worked out, we should do the show in basic results fashion. Like, instead of writing out whole matches and promos, just write the important things in bullet points. It can be hell trying to come up with something, especially if you’ve been out of the game for a while. I think the most important thing here is getting something done, and it might be a lot easier to do that if we leave all the little things by the wayside. That said, I’d love to have a match with either Keith or Ace, because I don’t remember having a proper one with either. (I would also say Lbm, but I’ve had enough matches with him to last a lifetime.) In the off off off off chance that this goes swimmingly and we do get enough interest for something of a reboot, I think we should deffo do bullet point result shows. Cause you lure people in with the storylines, and that’d probably be the easiest way to do it. edit: Oh yeah, show name. "FHT/ELITE: Hardcore Will Never Die"

Eh, I still like Better Than Hard Justice. Sounds very FHT-like. I'm willing to write a full match since I haven't written one since I stopped posting.

This is a good compromise, the reason I'm pushing the fourway is that's where I saw the Uprising angle ultimately going and I've had it in my head for a while. Not going to hold it against anyone if they don't want in though, it would lack a bit of build-up, and I know Ace is a now becoming a popular target.
The comic book nerd in me actually likes the title of the thread for the show itself. "One More Show". Like "One More Day" except hopefully not crap. Plus if we do more down the line, it could be "Another One More Show", "One More Show Again", "One More Show Returns" and so on.
I reckon I could write a full match, with the time we've got. An idea I heard at one point, can't remember who said it, was having TV show matches as quick results and the PPV matches as full write-ups. I think that balances producing quicker, easier to write shows without compromising the need for big matches.

Just a note about the "Tentative" matches: They are absolutely not final or anything. That's just me observing the discussion and throwing ideas up there to try and nudge people into making decisions and keeping discussion going. Until all members of the match post in here and say they're ok with it, those matches can, and probably will be, changed at a whim. I don't want anyone to feel pressured into a match they're not into, since that'll just mean people won't bother as much.
NIN, my policy on match writing for this show is "write as much as you feel you are able to". If you're working and have a family, I'm not demanding you produce a several post masterpiece. If you have to quick result things, do so, as long as its not a post like:
"Dark Angel beat Blade in two minutes with the Unearthly Destroyer"
It'll be fine. I think using the time we have and also working with your opponent, most people will be able to produce at least something decent though.

It sounds like something LBM would say, Max. And yeah, I'm all for Ace VS Max Venom. That had a loooong build to it. I'd love a match with NIN as well, but I'll just have to hope for that with 'FHT/Elite Ruenion 2: OK we swear, this is the final show' I'm gonna go start jotting down ideas for my promos already

Man, I need to finish off this thing I'm writing but I keep refreshing the board and seeing more posts.
Ace vs. Max it is. If Ash or Casey want in, say so in the next few days, guys, if that's ok with Ace as well. Book it, Angel.
