As I'm sure you can tell by the site, we're in a transitional state right now. A lot of work has been done but there's always more to do.
This show really needs at least a main event so opening that up. If you haven't, make sure you read the end of the last Legacy Online for the matches that got posted too. I'm excited to see how this little twist will effect things, this could be a pretty fun and creative episode.

Huh. That'll teach me to write something up before I get all the bugs worked out in an angle. Lesson learned.

I had about 95% of my promo written up yesterday and just needed to add a few touches. Then last night got home and read max's promo and then this morning read blades. Ended up scrapping everything in my promo except where i had brooks advertising burger king.

Good to see the "weekend in the middle of the show" thing is paying off at those times. Definitely a surge of activity on those days.
Good to see Ash back. A solid, reliable writer who could break out here if he finds the right gimmick. The big group feud could be a huge opportunity for him as he could very easily join either side.
The developing Angel/Austin feud has sadly been the victim of just how much is happening right now. That was a great segment though, a big tease with both men wanting to fight and being denied. Something Angel will definitely have to address if he ever gets a live microphone again.
Off on a tangent a little, I'm glad people are being more relaxed with how their characters get used. Back in the day, there used to be fights about who had permission to do what that I think ultimately meant people were scared or simply couldn't be bothered to involve others in their promos. I'd like to go on record and say that if you have a good idea and need to use Angel and to the best of your knowledge, it won't screw up what I'm doing, go right ahead. We've got a great team of writers here who I trust to handle that character well.
Going off that whole "working together" thing, Max/Gordon I feel was absolute gold. This could've so easily been a bog-standard interview but taking it into the under-utilised bar and having Gordon basically ask the questions, it made everything feel important. Venom's making a difficult character work and its engaging reading, a guy doing what he believes to be the right thing for all the wrong reasons. And while I'm unsure if this is Max or Robert writing Gordon's lines, I think it was a promo that really helped the boss out. There's a tendency to write Gordon as a bit of a cartoon supervillian, something I'm as guilty of as anyone, but here he's more grounded. His main motive is the success of what he created, sure, but he's not threatening Max into compliance, he's playing to that ego and subtly manipulating Max into place. And I'm glad the Snail thing from last week hasn't just been dropped, it puts Snail in a very interesting position of having to make that choice again basically, with people around him growing steadily more suspicious that Max might well be telling the truth. Could pay-off big time down the line.
Always great to see my pal Blade back in action. I knew the dummy was coming as well as the gimmick shift but seeing it play out here really made it work. Blade's motivation is so simple yet so effective: Of course a guy who's been wrestling a hardcore style for years and has had his personal and professional life suffer for it would start to resent it. How many ECW guys took jobs with the enemy despite how badly they were treated there, simply because it was more money for less damage to their bodies? Hardcore Steve also gives Blade someone to bounce off and gives his promos something unique.
Keith had a very intense promo to follow it up. I don't know what he originally had planned but I think dealing directly with the previous promos of Blade and Venom worked very well. There's perhaps more grammatical and spelling mistakes than usual due to it but it felt very natural that Keith would demand the microphone after seeing that stuff and want to address it. He came in with some great counter-arguments to take on the heels but, as weird as this is to say since I'm involved, I think the real heart of the promo was Keith praising Angel. It's been questioned if Keith has made the transition to face yet and I think with that part, the slow burn finally reached the pay-off. Keith being angry about what happened to him but being pissed about what happened to Angel, I think it was a sign that the journey of Keith's character from heel boss to face rebel is complete. That subtle change from it being what Keith lost to it being about what the fans lost.
Please do feedback guys, even if its a simple "I liked this" post. I think everyone here likes to know someone is reading and enjoying their work.

Keith noticed my influence. I don't know if I should be happy or very very ashamed about how transparent it was.

An intriguing last minute offer means a slight delay for the Max Venom Open Challenge. Hopefully something tomorrow night.
