Former FHT & ELITE World Champion, The F'N Legend Lbm made a surprise appearance at last night's WWE Royal Rumble. Appearing at 14, billed as the LB Menace - he received a huge pop from the smart crowd who had spent the night cheering for Daniel Bryan and genuinely shitting on the rest of the show.
The LB Menace entered at 14 and hit several shots eliminating Jack Swagger to a roar of approval from the rabid WWE Universe. He found time to briefly interact with CM Punk (who after his "pipebomb" promo named LBM as his favourite "shoot" in the business) - hitting a german suplex on Punk from the top rope.
Seconds later however he fell at the hands of Roman Reigns who dominated in last night's Royal Rumble. The LB Menace was given a solid round of applause as he walked back up the aisle some four minutes after he entered.
Speaking later on, the LB Menace had this to say regarding his rumble appearance. "Thanks to everyone at the WWE for making me feel so welcome. Lot of water under the bridge since the FHT/WWE split in 2003 - but its great to be back in the WWE Family. Gotta say a big thank you to Stephanie and Paul/HHH who made this "seasoned veteran" feel his worth - proud to say they picked my brain a wee bit earliar in the afternoon about how they thought the Brock/Big Show match should go."
"For those wondering - I did see Robert Gordon albeit briefly and maybe time can heal all wounds - was very civil and we spent more time talking about our families as opposed to dredging over old ground in FHT."
LBM was asked about the name, the LB Menace "WWE didn't want to use the name The F'N Legend for obvious reasons (PG) and with Legends House around the corner - just using The Legend Lbm may have confused that so the LB Menace was a last minute idea from Malenko and it just kind of stuck." LBM was asked if this was a one shot deal?
"Hahaha - it wouldn't have been a one shot deal if I'd bloody one the thing - bloody Roman Reigns is a brute haha. But yes there is no plans currently on the table for a 46 year old grandfather with arthritis in his left hand being signed to the active roster. That's not to say though that I didn't have other discussions with them - that may or may not be discussed later on."
