Appearance: The look of J.R. Carter is that of a wild man, tamed by the demands of society. His hair is longer and usually combed neatly, though it retains a somewhat wirey, untidy stubborness. His jowls droop a bit, his skin is lined by the sun and leather tough. On the street you can expect to see him in pressed slacks, shined western boots, a button up shirt, a tailored sport coat but never with a tie around his neck. This garb is usually black on black on black. At home he is a creature of comfort, someone as comfortable barefoot in jeans as in a suit.
When in the wrestling ring he keeps things simple. Black is the color of choice. He sports, classic short trunks, kneed pads and elbow pads and boots. During his entrance, Carter will wear a long, ankle length duster also black in color.

Wrestling Style: Having worked in the farm fields and living a tougher life in general, J.R. Carter utilizes a roughneck style of offense in his matches. He favors duking it out over a technical showcase of skills and as such is better on his feet than on the ground. When it comes to applying professional wrestling techniques Carter is fond of body slams, piledrivers, simple suplexes, measured strikes along with punishing, tried and true submissions.
His role in a match is akin to John Wayne, he always finds a way back from the death. When perilously close to defeat he musters up the will to turn the tide and save the day. Carter is most effective working against insurmountable odds as he takes great pleasure in making the impossible, possible.

Bio: J.R. Carter is a private person, reclusive even. He shows up when it suits him, says only what he intends to say and does so low and slow, never offering too much. He is here one minute, gone the next.
Yet, when his passions ignite enemies beware. He will call down any foe and take them to task for their transgressions. His words will scorch like that of a prophet with the breath of flame. His fists will punish the flesh with all the ferocity of a buffalo's charge. J.R. Carter is a man of contrasts. Always a sinner and sometimes a saint. A steady, rocklike sentinel for good who battles the darkness within. A man in black who strives to live within the light.
