Seems to have killed posting around here a little. Probably the UK among us have either sat up last night and watched and are wrecked today or have avoiding the internet all day cause they didnt wanna read spoilers and only watching it now.
i couldnt get three hours together to watch it all - so watched it on an off for most of the day. wasnt a bad show (poor undertaker and his hood - of all the times to balls that up).
i dont like the CM Punk heel turn. which probably means its a good thing. as a fan i love punk. part of me thought maybe cena would turn on this show when he didnt feature throughout the show until the bit with the rock. that would have been your epic moment for raw1000 and punk seemed really popular with the crowd so it would have been a good time.
Heath Slater done really well though!!!

Thought it was alright for what it was. Heavy on the nostalgia and self-celebration, not really enough wrestling but that tends to be Raw in general these days. CM Punk turn... Not sold on yet but willing to see what the explanation is like, think Punk could really make it work on the microphone.
Really didn't sell me on the idea of weekly three hour shows though. They seem to struggle filling two hours with interesting content before, I don't see them pulling off three.

Punk didn't turn heel because we are still cheering for him. The only ones he turned heel to is the 5 year olds that love Cena. Also Rock/Cena traded finishers threw out their feud to wrestlemania. Also even if he is "heel" its better to be the #1 heel then the #2 face. Punk deserves the spotlight and if I was his character I would be tried of sharing it with Cena/Rock also which is going be his reason behind it. The Rock just shows up and gets a Championship shot why Punk is going out every night busting his ass to steal the show that Cena is main eventing.
Slater needs to be the next US Champion

That show was 3 hours and 15 minutes, and I thought it was 3 hours and 12 minutes too long.
Thoughts:
How much wrestling did we actually get? a 6 man tag with a way past his prime Rey Mysterio, a dull Sin Cara, and Sheamus who has a following but not where it should be. Their opponents were Alberto Del Rio, who couldn't draw money with a crayon (although I like his in-ring work), Jericho who is awesome, and Dolph Ziggler who is likewise pretty awesome. Even they couldn't save that match for me. Snore fest w/ Luchadors (which surprises me, I love Luchadors).
Some backstage schtick, oh great. Mae Young's hand baby was a decent joke, but that's about it.
Brodus Clay... yawn. I feel bad disliking Brodus, as he's an old school fan, but same old same old. Squashes Swagger in like 2 seconds, Mick Foley comes out and wastes our time.
Nice to see Reverend Slick. That's about the only good part of that whole segment. Great, she's the new GM. Guess nailing Cena has it's career perks. Congrats on the divorce settlement, buddy.
The thing about the GM being AJ, is there were so many better options. JBL isn't doing much these days, niether is Backlund. There could have been money made with either of those characters as GM.
Almost forgot about DX. Okay, I kinda liked it, but that's because I love me some New Age Outlaws. Was wondering if they were going to get to the fact that Shawn has been stealing Billy Gunn's line for years now, and they did. Damien Sandow pops up, and he's always entertaining. Still would have prefered a wrestling match though.
Oh look, it's Brock Lesnar, former Undisputed Champion and an unstoppable (For a time) UFC Champion where he brutally mugged people. Oh look, Brock just got beat up by the heir apparent of Vince McMahon. Go figure. Nice mic work from Paul E. as usual.
Who is beating up Heath Slater this week? Should be good. Lita? Really? Fem-Cara? She going to botch a moonsault on Slater tonight? At least JBL was there and he practically tore through Slater with a stiff as hell closeline. Seemed like he was impressed with Slater's sell job, he couldn't stop smiling after that. Slater can sell. JBL practically knocked him out of his boots, and he still managed to really sell it.
Hey look, some actual talent in need of exposure. We hardly see any of these guys, maybe it's time for them to shine on the most heavily hyped Raw in years! Oh shit, sorry, there's the Undertaker looking sloppy and out of shape (even though he does have a sweet Super Shredder costume on) spiking them into the ground. Really helping out the younger talent there.
Hell yeah! Main Event! I have been psyched for this all week. CM Punk have put on some amazing five star matches together. They are going to tear down the house! Go Punk! Show the world why you're the best. Wait a minute, they sure have been talking about The Rock a lot instead of hyping this match. Huh, looks like they skip the standard championship introduction. That's kinda iffy. Oh look there's the Big Show to ruin the match. Wait, why does Punk look hesitent to pin Cena? He never cared about that before. Oh look, there's the Big Show again, yup bullshit finish. CM Punk not caring about Cena getting the tar beat out of him, why should he anyway? There's The Rock...
FUCK YEAH! CM PUNK! YOU MESS UP THE TOOTH FAIRY! BEST. IN. THE. WORLD!
There was hardly any wrestling on that show at all. The wrestling is my favorite part. Tonight WWE seemed like a grotesque parody of itself. It was vaudiville, and not even all that good at even being that. A few bright spots, especially the ending, but other than that, it was one of the worst Raws I have ever seen, and I have been watching since Raw episode #1.
