So having made enough characters to create an FHT brand with its own show, I decided to start a thread detailing some of the going ons in the virtual FHT Universe. I'm already a month in, so I will do my best to recap from previous shows.
The initial rivalries that showed up were Gordon vs Keith, Max Venom vs RDJ, and Red Ninja vs Ace Andrews.
Ninja vs Andrews
Red Ninja was the first FHT Champion, but he could not buy a win off of Ace Andrews. Ace repeatedly beat Ninja on the shows leading up to FHT's first PPV "The King of Hardcore." I even tried to help by playing Ninja a few times, but the AI got the better of me (it's on Legend mode, where I still usually do pretty well, but AI Ace is a tough man/robot to beat). Ace takes the belt from Ninja on the TV show right before the PPV.
Venom vs RDJ
One-sided feud. They repeatedly attacked each other during and after each other's matches. Max attacked RDJ during a match with Ninja, then afterwards Max had a match with the Obese Monster Big Bully Pete, where RDJ actually assisted in max winning the match, only to attack him with a steel pipe. The blow off of the feud happened on the show before The King of Hardcore where RDJ picked up the win via the Fisherman's Daddy-plex.
Gordon vs Keith actually ended at The King of Hardcore, so I will detail that in my run down of the event.
King of Hardcore
The King of Hardcore is a King of the Ring PPV which has a series of matches and then the main event itself is a King of The Ring tournament.
Opening match
Chase vs Killer
Result: Chase picks up the win via The Brainbuster
Gordon vs Ulster
Result: Ulster wins via Camel Clutch submission
Hardcore Championship: Lbm(c) vs Soul Reaper
Result: Lbm picks up the win with the Outsider's Edge (Surprising, because Soul Reaper had until that point been tearing through the competition).
Max Venom vs Red Ninja
Result: Max picks up the win via Death Valley Driver
FHT World Wrestling Championship: RDJ vs Ace Andrews
Result: RDJ to become the new FHT World Wrestling Champion via Fisherman's Daddy-plex. This one surprised me because I had not set up RDJ to be in the World Title picture, I was planning on having him feud for the Hardcore Championship instead, but the computer assigned this one. I played as RDJ as usual, and was shocked at how much of an easier time I had beating Ace with RDJ when I fought pretty damn hard to beat him a few times with Ninja and came up short.
The King of Hardcore Tournament
Round 1
Big Bully Pete vs Cousin Jeb
Result: Big Bully Pete squashes Jeb and ends him with his Bully Drop (Bonzai Drop). Pete advances to the second round.
Robert Gordon vs Max Venom
Result: Gordon wins after countering a Death Valley Driver on a table, rolls Max in and hits him with a Greetings from Stamford (Kryptonite Crunch). Gordon goes on to face Big Bully Pete in the second round.
Keith Williams vs Chase Stapleton
Result: Keith wins a real close match with Chase. It came down to the wire. Chase hit the Brainbuster on Keith, but Keith kicked out. When both men got to their feet Kieth hit a superkick out of nowhere to pick up the win and advance to the second round.
J-Man vs Ulster
Result: J-Man via the Eat Defeat. J had the tar beaten out of him by Ulster, but managed to pull out the win in the end.
Second Round
Robert Gordon vs Big Bully Pete
Result: Gordon via count out. The match started, and Big Bully Pete immediately left the ring and walked up the ramp, revealing he is in collusion with Robert Gordon. After the match they officially announce the team of Gordon Ltd. Gordon advances to the second round without breaking a sweat.
Keith Williams vs The J-Man
Winner: Williams picks up the win over one of the FHT founding members in a back and forth match that actually got pretty vicious. The match ended with Williams powerbombing J onto the steel ring steps that J had brought into the ring earlier. Williams goes on to face his bitter rival Gordon in the final round of the King of Hardcore tournament.
Final Round
Keith Williams vs Robert Gordon
The set up: This is the culmination of a rivalry between Gordon and Keith. They had both exchanged wins and losses with each other for weeks leading up to this point. Gordon attacked Williams from behind on two separate occasions before a match, losing the first and winning the second(the second was a Falls count Anywhere match that never made it off the ramp) . Williams returned the favor on their third encounter. On the fourth encounter right before the PPV they couldn't wait to get to the ring and began to fight on the ramp, that match eventually ended in a double count out. These two were not scheduled to fight at The King of Hardcore, but were amusingly (to me at least) placed at opposite ends of the tournament itself at just the right time to end the feud.
Result: Robert Gordon via Greetings from Stamford. An exhausted Keith did his best, and almost won despite Gordon having essentially bypassed the second round of the tournament. Gordon escaped the ring and took the fight outside. It went back and forth, with Williams driving Gordon through a table, and Gordon tackling Williams through the steel barricade. Williams got the better of Gordon, and hit both a superkick and a powerbomb on Gordon, but couldn't pin him because they were outside the ring. Keith was reversed when he tried to get Gordon back in the ring, and Robert grabbed the ring bell and blasted Williams with it before hitting Greetings From Stamford to pick up the win and the title of the King of Hardcore.
