LBM was a guest on the SCSA Podcast last night; Slightly intoxicated LBM and SCSA had a few beers and talked a whole host of topics . mostly that of a FHT one off reunion and who'd they like to be part of it?
On the FHT locker room
"you had a bunch of people who took themselves all too seriously. my character this and my character that. I wouldn't do this and I don't wanna go a long with that idea. My storyline etc etc... To me the funnest bit of FHT was the interaction between the big characters. When there was something huge planned and things got fucked up and it went in the complete opposite direction of what you had planned. That was the fun element. I hated all the one sided stories. You had Red Ninja off fighting someone else inconsequential or the infighting with Jamie Coleson who ever the pricks were that we can't remember. Such a talent match man - could have a great match with anybody but chose not to."
On Robert Gordon
"you know I haven't a clue what happened to that guy. He was brilliant. In the final few years of FHT/ELITE/Legacy this was the guy. Probably the greatest character of all time. The only thing that sours his legacy is this guy never got his proper comeuppance in a match. If you were ever gonna bring FHT back from the dead - it would only work if he was the main guy (is the word protagonist). I haven't seen him or heard from him in years - I hope he's well!"
If you could tell one person to fuck themselves
"just one? Dark Angel. really believed that this guy was my friend. loved talking shop to him - really on my wavelength. enjoyed his work immensely - probably his biggest fan in the locker room - really wanted to see his day come when he was the champion. not word spoken between us in years. me and Austin - had our rivallaries. Me and Trippy... spoken to all of them over the years. Not him. Annoyed"
Chase Stapelton
"fucking lunatic. good guy though."
Reboot of FHT?
"we existed on the internet at the dawn of the youtube generation. when legacy began we utilized twitter for our stories to continue. Whole thing would need to change for a reboot. would need to be snappier. to the point. wrestling mainstream is on a huge decline while indy feds are on the rise. would have to have a completely new way of re-establishing fht in this generation. probably wouldn't work. shame though."
